Entry Dated February 16, 2008 - My Stash!

My stash has been one that has come through quite a few years of acquisition. I have had the opportunity of collecting some of the most accurate kits to have come on the market in terms of molds.

Monogram 1/48 F-117A Stealth.

1/48 Academy Su-27 Flanker B (I can't recall how long I have waited for an accurate SU-27 kit to come out)

1/48 Monogram AH-64A Apache

1/48 Hasegawa AH-64D Apache "JGSDF" (a limited edition kit)

1/48 Monogram AV-8B Harrier

1/48 Hasegawa AV-8B Harrier II Plus

1/48 Hasegawa JASDF Mitsubishi F-2A

1/48 Monogram F-5F Tiger II

1/48 AMT F-5E Tiger II

1/48 Revell F-105D Thunderchief (otherwise known as the Lead Sled)

1/48 Hasegawa McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II "Showtime 100" (Maybe one of these days, I'll build Colonel Tomb's aircraft)

1/32 Tamiya F-14A Tomcat "Black Knights" (this baby I'm going to convert into an F-14D Super Tomcat (a what-if) with VF-41 decals)

1/48 Monogram F-16A Fighting Falcon (planning on building this straight from the box)

1/48 Monogram F-20 Tigershark (a great idea by Northrop never realized)

1/48 Hasegaw F-16CJ (Block 50) Fighting Falcon (going to turn this into a 8TFW aircraft based out of Seoul, South Korea)

1/48 Monogram F/A-18C Hornet

1/48 Hasegawa A-4E/F Skyhawk

1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18F Super Hornet

1/72 Hasegawa MiG 29 Fulcrum

1/48 Hobbycraft MiG 27 (lots of flash and much of the problems of the old Esci mold, but a little work and it should be an OK one. I'm waiting for the new mold MiG 27 that some Eastern company is coming out with...

X 2
1/48 Esci MiG 23 - found two Esci MiG 23s and one MiG 27...changed my mind part way about getting the MiG 27 and told them to put it back on the shelf. Well...it was gone by the time I got to Van Hobbies (now defunct)...So I bought the two MiG 23s to take 'em away from whoever bought the MiG 27...SO THERE!

1/48 Academy MiG 29 Fulcrum (one of the best molds out there)

1/48 Monogram Mirage 2000

1/48 Revell F/A-18E Super Hornet

1/48 Revell A-6E Intruder

1/48 Revell F-15E Strike Eagle

1/48 Revell Supermarine Spitfire Mk. II

1/48 Testors SR-71 Blackbird (who can ever forget that visit of the HABU in 1986 - Damn that thing was LOUD!!!)

Also, I need to find a few more weapons kits.

much like this one in 1/48. Come to think of it, I haven't been up by Finescale for quite some time. Maybe I should make a point of it one of these days.

Also on tap are the following:

1/48 Revell MiG 25 Foxbat - minus the box
1/48 Kopro Su-22M-4 Fitter K.
1/48 Revell B-1B Lancer (my pride and joy...but how the hell do I get a spray booth big enough to airbrush that monster?)

Of course, plus the kits that I have bought this year...gives me a pretty fair sized stash.

Edit August 15, 2008: And after all that I forgot the A-10A Thunderbolt II, which I also had the benefit of buying off Mike Long from ARC. (the other four are pictured up above)

Some of my stash
